Interactive Mirror

Just stumbled on the work of Nicolai Cornell which is of relevance to your current project. Apparently he is know primarily as a flash designer but he uses his flash interactive media beyond web uses, pretty much what I’m try to get you all to think about (except we are using Director). The results are visually stunning and most definetly innovative. Take some time to have a look through his work, it’s worth it.

Thanks for sharing, some of this work is great! I find his design style very appealing.

Spatial Directory, I could really see working well in a shopping mall (displayed in car parks/entrances/walkways), would also be a great way to display adverts for shops and offers. Far better than the current non computerised floor standing displays that would need to be updated everytime a shop closed or a new one opened up.

Its very nice and a very good example of what you can do with off the shelf software like director or flash when coupled with interesting hardware and captors. I particularily like the use of the back projected mirrors in the work shown above, all sorts of possibilities for using reflection, layering of projected content on that, video captured through the mirror (its sort of like a two way mirror used by the police).
