Twilight: Photography in the Magic Hour
December 16, 2006
“At twilight, the colour and quality of light go through rapid and dramatic changes. For photographers, who are highly attuned to the subtleties of light, this is a particularly significant and poignant time. The artists in the exhibition have all made work that focuses on the end of the day and investigates twilight, as distinct from night.”
I know its late posting this, as it ends on the 17th December
However I’m interesting by this, and hope to go there tomorrow.

Do if you can, Gregory Crewdson is a supurb photographer, does lots of sinister photos of small town America that look as if they are a cross between the X-Files, Close Encounters of the Third Kind and David Lynch’s movies (Lost Highway and Mulholland Drive particularily)
some of his photos here

I did go, and it was very good.
It’s helped me realise the type of photography I like. It’s the atmosphere that the time of day creates as well as the way the photography’s are taken.
Also I didn’t realise there is a competition, only to win an ipod I think, but that’s not the point. I want to enter it.
However its last submission day is tomorrow. I will and see what I can do.
Garrett not sure if you noticed on the v&a site: Volume, may be of a slight interest to you.
It was also quite good, got some ok pictures. It was midday, so not as good as if it was night.

yep heard about this a few weeks ago, they had some sort of event as well where UVA turned on the xmas lights at the V&A except they weren’t your standard xmas lights, more of a xmas light show without any christian references – i think its this new political correctness, you know xmas is for everyone and has not really got anything to do with Jesus or anything like that, ehhh ok just a coincidence it’s his birthday then? political correctness gone mad.
UVA are quite popular with youtubers, lots of stuff by them here:
